BREED: Crossbreed GENDER: Gelding AGE: 25 years

PROBLEM: Horse showing dangerous aggressive behaviour towards child owner, as well as toward anyone approaching horse in pasture/paddock. Before being caught horse swings its backside towards person before letting fly with its hind hooves - when caught horse strikes at person as it is being led. Horse considered dangerous. This negative behaviour has continued for a number of years.

ASSESSMENT: Horse showing dominant/bully characteristics toward people in general (enjoys putting people in place).

RESULT - Horse accepts child owner and shows - affection rather than aggression. Horse walked over to me and laid its head against my chest in a gentle way. Both horse and child owner have had an affectionate but respectful relationship for the past 5 years (horse-is now 30 years old).
