BREED: Boerperd/Thoroughbred GENDER: Mare AGE: 8 years

PROBLEM: Horse is very -spooky' with strange objects, plastic, umbrella, noise etc. Horse frightened of water (hosing/washing). Resents being handled generally and refuses to allow hind feet to be handled. Difficult to bridle showing fear of mouth and ears.

ASSESSMENT: Horse has very little self confidence or self esteem causing it to over react to strange or already frightening stimuli. Note: Scars on both hind legs (canon bone) obvious reason for hind leg phobia.

RESULT - Horse accepts handling anywhere on its body - shows no fear to previously frightening or strange stimuli stands still without restriction while being hosed down lowers head and allows itself to be bridled with owner kneeling on ground.
